Hey MIIS, you have arrived here to research and vote on your favorite student initiative to become the beneficiary of Student Council’s newest idea, funding student-led projects. The winner of this contest was originally supposed to receive proceeds from the Follies event but after the tragedy in Japan took place, our fundraising priority for the Follies changed as well. However, Student Council has found a way to reallocate funds in order to hold to our promise of funding one of these projects.
As you can see, we have 5 projects from which to choose and representatives from each have answered the following questions to help guide your decision:
What purpose does the fundraiser serve?
What is the charitable organization being benefited?
How does your fundraiser support the social and academic interests of MIIS?
What is the estimated impact of the project?
Please look at each project’s description to make an informed decision. Once you have reached a conclusion, you can vote by simply sending an email to StuCoMIIS@gmail.com with the subject line of Student Initiative Vote and your choice of initiative in the body of the email. You may only use your @MIIS.edu email address, and can only vote once, and for only one project. You will receive an automatic reply when we receive your email but if you have accidentally voted twice, voted for more than one project, or simply sent a random email, it will not be counted.
Voting will take place from Monday April 4 until Thursday April 14 at 5pm. At that point, no more votes will be accepted and the winner will be announced Saturday April 16 at the International Bazaar!
