I haven’t seen Shannon Coe on campus this semester, and have wondering what she’s been up to lately. I had the pleasure of working with her in El Salvador during the 2009 Team Monterey El Salvador Development Practium as members of the Education Team as we endured hot and dusty days in the Bajo Lempa. Shannon also served in the Peace Corps in Paraguay and has travelled to 42 countries to promote the rights of disabled people in the developing world. Take a look at this news report to learn about Shannon’s incredible story and all of her incredible accomplishments to date.
I also have been thinking of Shannon lately. Howe she kept that joyful laugh throughout the hot dusty days in El Salvador last year. Shannon..if you’re out there we miss you and we are proud of your accomplishments.
luv ya, hermana!
