The Summer 2011 Global Trade & Development Program is run in two separate sessions.
The first GTD session meetsÂ Monday, June 20Â through Thursday, July 14. Classes will run from 10am-12pm and from 2-4pm unless otherwise noted.
The second GTDÂ session meets Tuesday, July 12 through Sunday, July 31. Classes will run Monday-Friday from 10-12pm and 1-4pm.
The program involves two-three weeks of intensive class and group work,Â with four days ofÂ field exposure to international trade experts working in agriculture and technology industries in Central California. Each program includes a 3-day weekend trip to San Francsico (lodging provided).
Field exposure includes trips toÂ technology, agriculture, government, and finance organizations on the Central Coast and in the San Francisco BayÂ Area area (including Silicon Valley). Past site visits have included Ebay, WellsÂ Fargo,Â Driscollâ€™s, Tanimura and Antle, and Facebook headquarters as well as a visit to the Economic Development departmentÂ of the City of San Jose.Â Further details will be given to accepted students with their schedules.
