The Monterey Institute of International Studies will host the 2009 Communicating Change in a Complex World Conference on Friday November 20th in Monterey, California. The conference will feature panel discussions and presentations on how to successfully communicate messages of change in today’s media environment and move from advocacy to agency. Speakers will discuss the emerging roles of social media and grassroots mobilization as vehicles for change and share stories and strategies from their careers.

Confirmed speakers and panelists include Michael Leifer CEO of InfluenceXchange, James Hanusa founder of Change SF, Kevin Epps award-winning documentary film director, Nina Rosete executive director of Dare to Dream Fund, Rita King and Josh Fouts of Dancing Ink Productions, and Colin Gallagher Neighborhood Services Coordinator at City of Salinas.
