Dr. Laurance Presents on the Impact of Armed Violence on Development

Professor Ed Laurance made a presentation on the impact of armed violence on development, at the Annual Forum of the Parliamentarians for Global Action(PGA) in Colombo , Sri Lanka, 28-30 October 2011. He also assisted the PGA in developing a plan of action for the next year which will find the PGA promoting several global instruments whose goal is reducing armed violence throughout the world. One of these instruments is the UN Programme of Action on Small Arms and Light Weapons, the draft of which was written by Professor Laurance for the UN in 2001.
