The Monterey County Health Education Consortium will host two talks, one on Autism and the other on Lyme disease, on Thursday, April 16, beginning at 5:30 in Irvine Auditorium.  Members of the MIIS commuity interested in issues of public health and education are welcome to attend.

JMCNS Senior Fellow Dr. Jonathan Tucker has the lead story in the March 2009
issue of Arms Control Today.  The article focuses on “The Smallpox
Destruction Debates: Could a Grand Bargain Settle the Issue.”

Peter Shaw’s TESOL students and the Office of Student Services will host a storytelling event for community children (ages 5-8) on Monday, April 9, from 10:15-noon.  The evnt includes with international folktales and interactive activities. selected to host 35 Fulbright scholars this summer. Monterey Institute is
one of the sites chosen to hold pre-academic orientation for newly arrived
