career fair_hand shakeOn Thursday, March 7th, Alumna Jennifer Dossett Billings (IPS ’12), came to the Monterey Institute to test students on their networking pitch for a chance to win $50. After last year’s career fair, Jennifer received two job offers, and wanted to make a contribution to MIIS and let the student body know how important it is to make a first impression when meeting with recruiters.

After hearing pitches from over 20 students, Jennifer identified Katerina Borghi, a current Translation and Interpretation MA Candidate, as the student with the Most Perfect Pitch.

Jennifer states, “MIIS students have very impressive resumes! Hearing from each of the participants made me a very proud alumna. I heard from MBAs, TNIs, IPSers and MPAs; each had a unique passion and intriguing experiences that would make them a strong candidate for any position. Go MIIS! (makes me want to have  a mascot!) The career center is a valuable resource for current students and alumni; don’t underestimate the power of feedback.”

Congratulations to Katerina on a job well done!
